This is a traditional, unfiltered Belgian white beer. It was created in cooperation with the legendary master brewer Pierre Celis, who is a symbolic and legendary figure of Hoegaarden. It is to him that we owe the revival of white beer in the 1950s.
Bernardus Wit is distinguished by an attractive golden color that is sublimated by a gorgeous veil that ultimately gives an authentic dull Belgian whiteness.
St. Bernardus Wit is famous for its exciting aromas of coriander and orange with a spicy note of cloves and fruity citrus in the background. The energy of the spices and the smoothness of the wheat release a masterfully balanced taste experience. The impression on the palate, mild, deliciously combines the taste of sweet malt with refreshing acidity, ending with a very fresh aftertaste.
This beer is incredibly versatile and goes well with preparations from around the world, but perhaps as a freshness vehicle for smooth dishes such as risotto, and for seafood and white fish. It is best suited to gourmet dishes. Do you like seasoning your fish with a little lemon? Don’t hesitate to do so as the citrus accents of St. Bernardus Wit will perfectly emphasize the taste of fish on your plate.
